The training includes intensive class room lectures,
exercises, home assignments, demonstrations and a good deal of practical
training.
Objectives of the courses:
The objective of most of the courses is to develop capability
and confidence in the participants to take up simple assignments independently
or to participate usefully as a member of a team working on a relatively
larger and complex assignment.
Faculty:
The Centre has a large number of experienced employees
on its rolls. All of them undergo intensive training within the organisation.
Developing and enhancing their professional skill is a continuous process
throughout their career. The faculty for each course is drawn from them.
Eligibility:
Any person with good IQ and logical ability is considered
suitable for these courses. No minimum qualification is, therefore, prescribed
for most of the courses. Masters, Graduates, Ten-Plus-Twos, and even Matriculates
are accepted. As graduation is generally the minimum qualification prescribed
for the posts of computer professionals in private sector, it is recommended
that the participants planning to join this profession should have a good
bachelor's degree in any subject. Knowledge of mathematics is helpful
in learning some language Courses and in courses in Computer Aided Design.
As the graduates with Mathematics, Statistics, Science, Operation Research,
Commerce and Economics are generally found to be more logical in their
approach, they are preferred as computer professionals in some of the
organisations. In public sector organisations, graduates are accepted
at lower levels and masters' degree or an engineering degree is insisted
for higher posts in the profession.
First-come-first-served:
Admission to various courses is on first-come-first-served
basis subject to availability of seats. Fee for such courses must be remitted
before submitting the complete application form.
Courses for Matriculates:
Matriculates and those with similar academic qualifications
may attend Word Processing, Data Entry and Desk Top Publishing courses.
Good speed in English typing will be of much help to participants of these
courses.
Courses for Typists and Stenographers:
Course in Word Processing is recommended to typists and
stenographers or to those who are preparing to join such posts.
Facility for Modular Completion of Diploma:
RCC may issue P G Diploma in computer Application to
those graduates who complete all the modules of Diploma from RCC in a
time span of two years in future. Further, if there is a gap of more than
six months between last two modules passed by the candidate, he/she will
be required to appear in the tests of all the modules earlier appeared
and pass them.
Special Courses:
The coverage, contents, duration, timings and charges
of such courses are determined in consultation with the concerned
organization.
