COMPUTER LITERACY AND STUDIES IN SCHOOLS (CLASS) PROJECT
 

CLASS project was initiated by Government of India for providing computer awareness and literacy amongst the school going students so as to help them in their future higher studies in various Kendriya Vidyalayas managed by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi.

DOEACC Society, Chandigarh Centre implemented the CLASS project in 23 Kendriya Vidyalayas of Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir from December, 1994 to March, 1998.

Various services rendered under the CLASS project included

• Provision of computer teachers.
  
• Training of school teachers
  
• Maintenance of hardware
  
• Provision of text books
  
• Provision of consumables like floppies and stationary
